Jacobsen and Enmer to meet in another final

Jacobsen and Enmer came out on top of their group matches. Myriam Enmer started off in group B against up and coming player Holly Ranson, and even though the first three sports were quite close Enmer stormed ahead in tennis to seal the match. The score was +20 (21-16 21-15 21-17 7-2). The next group B match was Kaptein and Ranson, and before this match their head-to-head was 1-1. Kaptein was the stronger player today, as she won in a very close match winning by just two points. She took it +2 (21-14 8-21 21-18 21-16). The last group B match was between Kaptein and Enmer to determine who would go to the final. After losing the table tennis 21-15, Enmer bounced back and took the next sports. She won +22 (15-21 21-9 21-15 10-0) to book her place in her fourth final this season.

Group A kicked off with Ahlmer facing off against Anttila, with Ahlmer securing a decisive victory with a scoreline of +37 (21-5 21-10 21-11). The following match featured Jacobsen vs Anttila, resulting in Jacobsen taking the match +32 (21-11 21-5 21-15). The final match of the group pitted the world’s top two players against each other. In their previous encounter at the Finnish Open final, Jacobsen had emerged triumphant, and history repeated itself today. Although Ahlmer started strongly, Jacobsen steadily gained the upper hand in badminton and squash, ultimately prevailing with a score of +12 (11-21 21-9 21-10 9-10). She now faces Enmer in the final. Ahlmer and Kaptein will battle it out for the bronze medal tomorrow.
