Player Entry to the FIR Racketlon Singles and Doubles World Championships 2022 is now officially live – and we have some big discounts if you enter early!
This year, we will be using a brand new entry system called On Your Marks. This system will include everything – user registration, tournament entry, hotel booking and payment – all in one very handy web application.
If you enter the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022 in March then you will get 50% off the player entry fee, paying 40€ instead of the usual 80€. The price will then increase every month until the tournament in August.
When and Where is the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022?
The FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022 will take place across two weekends in the second half of August in one of the biggest tournaments in our sport’s history.
The FIR World Championships Juniors and Seniors 2022 will take place from Friday, August 19 to Monday, August 22. The blockbuster four-day event will see the Singles and Doubles competitions, as well as the long-awaited return of the World Teams Championship for the first time since 2019. This part of the World Championships will take place in Vienna.
Tuesday, August 23 will then be a rest and travel day before the FIR World Championships Elite and Amateurs begins on Wednesday, August 24. That will take place across five days, concluding on Sunday, August 28. Graz will host the tournament after a hugely successful GRAWE sidebyside SWT Austrian Open in 2021.

On Your Marks – How to Register for the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022
Web application On Your Marks will be used at the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022. This purpose-built platform has been specifically designed for this tournament and will house all player information in one place.
User registration, tournament entry, hotel booking, payment and agreement to relevant regulations are all combined in the system. This will produce one QR code scan and allow all data to be verified at the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022. All registration will be completed before the tournament begins. This will create an easy and simple tournament experience for all players.
On Your Marks is free for everybody to use. It will be used as tournament accreditation for all people attending the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022; players, coaches, family and friends. Access is not permitted without registration on On Your Marks.

Big Entry Fee Discounts
One of the big advantages of registering for the tournament through On Your Marks is the possibility of gaining big entry fee discounts. The Singles and Doubles entry fees are based on which month you register for the tournament. The full list of fees is outlined below:
Entry fee singles: March 40€ | April 50€ | May 60€ | June/July 70€ | August 80€
Entry fee doubles: March-July 25€ | August 35€
With up to 50% off if you enter in March, we would hugely encourage players thinking of competing in the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022 to enter as early as possible. This is in line with the FIR’s policy of encouraging all players to enter tournaments as early as possible.
Please note that discounts only apply if a booking is made at the same time in a tournament hotel through On Your Marks, or if you choose private accommodation (with proof required). Discounts are displayed on On Your Marks at the end of the ordering process.
Optional Cancellation Insurance
The Tournament Organiser – Racketlon Federation Austria – are also offering all participants optional cancellation insurance for 15€.
This includes a full refund for non-participation due to COVID-19, injury or other illness (with proof required). Withdrawal is possible up to one day before the start of the tournament. Without cancellation insurance, entry fees and hotel fees will be forfeited in the event of a no-show. You will receive details on insurance during the ordering process.
We would encourage all players to consider purchasing optional cancellation insurance to cover all possibilities.
Tournament Software and Player License
We are aware that all current players are used to entering racketlon tournaments through tournament software. This will still be possible for the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022, however, no discounts will be valid. Therefore, if you enter through Tournament Software you will have to pay full price for tournament entry, regardless of when you enter.
Payment of entry fees may be made either in cash at the event or online – with a discount – via On Your Marks.
Players are free to register on both Tournament Software and On Your Marks. You will still be required to be registered on On Your Marks to secure tournament accreditation for the week.
It should also be noted that a license from the Federation of International Racketlon is required to participate in the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022. This license can be purchased here. If no license is active, players must pay in cash at the event.
FIR President Duncan Stahl Becomes First Player to Enter the Tournament
FIR President Duncan Stahl became the first player to enter the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022 this morning and excitedly said:
“We first tried to stage this tournament back in 2020, so it’s such a good feeling to have now finally been able to enter the world championships in Vienna & Graz for August this year!
“Using On Your Marks, I’m now fully registered for the tournament, my accommodation, meals, t-shirt are all booked and corona regulations ticked.
“Registration was very easy and now there is nothing more to do other than to get training and then turn up to enjoy another fantastic world championships (and hopefully defend our team title!)”
