It is now possible to register to compete in the 14. IWT Swiss Open after the tournament entry was opened on Tournament Software.
The tournament, returning to the FIR World Tour for the 14th time, takes place from the 25th to 27th June at the VITIS SportCenter in Schlieren, Zurich, Switzerland.
We are extremely hopeful that the Swiss Open marks the long-awaited return of the FIR World Tour as we look to host more and more tournaments throughout the year.
Swiss Open Returns After 2020 Cancellation
The Swiss Open is one of the longest-running tournaments on Tour, and it was regrettable to see it cancelled during the 2020 season.
We are therefore delighted to see it back on the calendar for 2021 and returning to the spectacular VITIS SportCenter. The tournament has held a number of prestigious tournaments over the year. Most recently it hosted the 2018 World Team and Singles Championships which were an enormous success.
The tournament has 32 different age and ability categories available for players to enter. These range from elite to first-timer categories as well as junior and senior categories both in singles and doubles. The full choice of categories can be seen here.
All players wishing to take part in this, or any FIR World Tour event, will need to purchase a 2021 Player License. More information about the 2021 Player License is available here.
We would encourage all players interested in competing in the tournament to enter as soon as possible. Not only does this help the tournament organiser but it will also encourage other players and friends to also enter. A reminder that tournament entry is paid on arrival at the tournament so it is possible to withdraw if you are unable to play at no cost.
Detailed information about the tournament, including the tournament hotel and program for the three days, is available here.
You can get regular updates on the Facebook event for this tournament.
If you wish to enter the 14. IWT Swiss Open you can do so here on Tournament Software.
If you have any further questions about the tournament please email Tournament Director Esther Dubendorfer at email@example.com.
