FIR World Tour Tournaments: What’s Coming Up?

With the World Doubles Championships and SWT King or Rackets entry deadline fast approaching, it’s worth looking ahead to see what other FIR World Tour tournaments are open for entry.

As it stands there are six tournaments open after this month including the start of the Champions League in Germany and the final two events in the Victor Racketlon Series.

World Doubles Championships and King of Rackets

This year the World Doubles Championships and King of Rackets are both taking place in Oudenaarde, Belgium in an epic four days of racketlon.

Entry closes for the World Doubles Championships on Monday, May 13th with 180 players entered already. The King of Rackets entry closes a week later on May 20th with nearly 150 players registered.

Swiss Open and Latvian Open Lead Summer of Racketlon

The next tournament on the calendar is the IWT Racketlon Swiss Open. Hosted at the venue that held last year’s World Championships, this tournament is not to be missed.

Taking place from the 21st-23rd June, this tournament is a perfect early summer tournament to play at an elite, established venue. This is also a fantastic tournament for juniors with free entry for U10s and U13.

July’s sole tournament is the IWT Latvian Open. The hugely popular tournament also serves as the second part of the inaugural Victor Racketlon Series.

This tournament is being held at the ENRI Tennis Club from the 12th-14th July. Any players who are taking part in the Berlin Open will want to bookmark this as a potential tournament to play to remain in the hunt for the Victor Racketlon Series prizes.

The inaugural Victor Racketlon Series includes the IWT Berlin Open, IWT Latvia Open and IWT Malta Open.

Champions League Begins in Nussbloch

The 2019 Champions League kicks off at the IWT German Open at the start of August as the Berlin Berghain Boasters begin their title defence.

The Champions League will take place on Friday 2nd August alongside the German Open doubles classes with the singles taking place across the weekend.

The final leg of the Champions League takes place at the IWT French Open on the 25th October.

Registration for the Champions League will remain open until 14th June with further information about the prestigious tournament and the German Open available here.

Registration for the Racketlon Champions League is open until June 14th.

Post-Summer FIR World Tour Tournaments

Entry is also open for three more tournaments as the FIR World Tour begins to turn its attention towards the World Teams and Singles Championships.

The SWT Austrian Open is first up from August 30th to September 1st. This tournament is the final Super World Tour of the year with Racketlon Federation Austria always delivering a high-quality event.

September is an exceptionally busy month for racketlon as just two weeks after Austria the tour heads to Helsinki for the IWT Finnish Open.

Two weeks after that is the conclusion of the Victor Racketlon Series as the IWT Malta Open takes place. The first Victor Racketlon Series champions will be crowned under the palm trees of La Marsa Sports Club.

Tournament entry is open for all three of these tournaments; SWT Austrian Open, IWT Finnish Open, IWT Malta Open.
