Having previously staged Challenger and IWT tournaments, Racketlon India Sports Association (RISA) will now host their first ever Super World Tour (SWT) tournament from 29th Nov until 1st December this year. It will also be the last qualifying tournament for this year’s World Tour Finals and FIR Race.
The tournament will be staged at one of the most iconic and famous sports clubs in the whole of India:
“Whilst working alongside RISA to develop Racketlon in India, I’ve been lucky enough to be taken to some simply amazing clubs and venues for Racketlon. Whilst in India for last year’s IWT I visited the Willingdon Sports Club in Mumbai (alongside our current world champion, Luke Griffiths, our world no.1 at the time, Leon Griffiths and the head of FIR Delegates, Kresten Hougaard) – all of us were blown away by the club: both in terms of the quality and perfectly maintained sports facilities across all 4 Racketlon sports but also all the off court facilities (beautiful gardens, restaurants, swimming pool, spa, huge changing rooms, golf course, padel/pickle courts all right in the heart of Mumbai).
We all agreed it was simply one of the best venues for Racketlon any of us had ever seen.
Bringing our World Tour to the Willingdon Sports Club in Mumbai is a special moment for our sport and alongside the amazing generosity and warmth of the Indian hospitality (felt by all the players who came to the Indian Open last year) it will be an unbelievable experience for all those who can come to what is going to be a very special and unforgettable tournament.”
