We’re back in Nussloch this weekend where we can look forward to another great weekend of Racketlon.
Vaclahovsky and Kanonenberg aiming for gold on home soil
We see some more players that will be in action for the first time this season, with Simon Vaclahovsky and Adarsh Vikram Narayanaswamy entering the German Open main draw. Nicolas Lenggenhager is the no 1 seed for this event and might play Narayanaswamy in the quarter-finals provided the Indian player wins his first match against young gun Bastian Böhm. Mandrin Mouchet is the no 3 seed and he will play either Polish Open Champion Kanonenberg or Martin Sopko.
Oliver Bühler is the no 4 seed and is back in action for the first time this season. He will play the winner between wildcard Thorsten Lentfer and Léon Mamié. Simon Vaclahovsky is the no 2 seed. He plays the winner between Matěj Volf and Patrick Oettl.
World Champion Nathalie Vogel is back in action
2023 World Champion Nathalie Vogel is back in action for the first time since winning the World Championships in August. She plays her first match against Adeline Kilchenmann before taking on junior player Alina Reissenauer. Pauline Cavé will be looking to add another title to her collection as she has been in very good form so far. She plays the no 1 seed Kirsten Kaptein before taking on Silke Altmann who won bronze at the 2023 FIR Racketlon World Championships.
Doubles preview
There is a lot of home interest in the men’s elite doubles with Böhm/Lentfer being the top seeds. They play Mamié/Ried before taking on Kanonenberg/Narayanaswamy.
Kaptein/Kilchenmann are the no 1 seeds take on Altmann/Zahn in their first group match. They then take on Bäuerle/Von Heimburg and Cavé/Reissenauer in their last match.
Top juniors Reissenauer/Böhm are the top seeds in the mixed elite, and they face Cavé/Kanonenberg in their first group match. They then take on Vogel/Bühler before playing Kilchenmann/Mamié.
