The second half of the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022 begins on Wednesday with a full day of doubles action.
The Juniors and Seniors categories are fully completed as the tournament has now moved from Vienna to Graz to start the Elite and Amateurs categories.
There are seven categories that players are competing in on Wednesday; Women’s Elite Doubles, Men’s Elite Doubles, Mixed Elite Doubles, Women’s B Doubles, Men’s B/C Doubles, Mixed B Doubles and Men’s D/E Doubles. The Men’s D/E Doubles is the only category that will crown its champion on Wednesday. The finals for the next few categories will take place across the next few days.
The beginning of the elite categories also signals the arrival of some of the biggest names in racketlon. Stine Jacobsen was in action in Vienna, but she’s now joined by the likes of World No.1 Zuzana Severinová, former two-time World Champion Nathalie Vogel and Anna-Klara Ahlmer. Luke Griffiths welcomes brother Leon to Austria, while Morten Jaksland, Kresten Hougaard and Koen Hageraats also arrive.
