The entry deadline for the IWT German Open is fast approaching for any players wanting to get one final warm-up in before the FIR Racketlon World Championships 2022.
The tournament is taking place from August 5-7 at Racket Center Nussloch in Nussloch, Germany. The tournament is a long-time favourite on the Racketlon World Tour and players are able to enter until midday on Monday, July 25.
This ever-present on the Racketlon World Tour has been a regular tournament since 2004. It was first hosted in Nussloch in 2010 and has taken place in a number of venues around the country.
IWT German Open Player Entry
Player entry is already open for the IWT German Open. It opened earlier this year and already has over 50 entries from 13 different countries – including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India.
The player entry deadline is July 25. However, we would encourage all interested players to enter as early as possible. A reminder that you can withdraw from the tournament at no cost right up until July 27.
At the German Open, players are allowed to play in up to three classes. It is not allowed to play in more than two doubles or two singles classes. Players can also not play two classes in an open category. Instead, one has to be age-banned.
Entry to a Singles category is €55. Each additional Singles class is reduced by €15 while U21 classes are €35 and U16 are €25. Entry to Doubles categories are €20 per person.

Draws & Match Schedule
While the draws will be published the week before the tournament, a planned schedule has already largely been organised.
The tournament starts on Friday, August 5 at 09:00. The last games will be on Sunday, August 7 and will last until about 3 pm when there will be an award ceremony..
The current provisional tournament schedule is as follows:
- Friday: All Doubles matches will take place
- Saturday: All Singles classes will begin, with, junior categories beginning at 2pm.
- Sunday; Seniors, Juniors, Amateur and Elite Finals.

Due to world ranking, previous tournaments, category size or the strength of a player, the organising committee can move played to other categories. To have a guaranteed place, we recommend early entry.
There will also be a Players’ Party with a unique Beer Pong Tournament on Saturday night.
Venue Information
One of the slickest venues on the Racketlon World Tour, the German Open once again takes place at the Racket Center Nussloch. The venue has an extremely rich history, having hosted the German Open and Nussloch Open on various occasions across the last 12 years.
There will be four competition courts in use throughout the tournament. In addition to the competition courts, there is also a practice table for table tennis, one for badminton and squash and also three additional practice tennis courts. Please note, if you would like to train in the tennis hall, only trainers with no profile are permitted.
In addition to the superb on-site facilities, there is also an RC ProShop. The shop will offer stringing services for all of the players involved in the tournament. As well as the straining services, players are also allowed to use our entire fitness and wellness area. Lastly, meals and drinks are available on-site at the gastronomy.

Accommodation Details
There are two tournament hotels available for this tournament. In addition to the two hotels, it is also possible to camp at the venue.

- As every year, there is also the opportunity to camp with your own tent or mobile home on the Racket Center grounds during the IWT German Open.

Travel
The tournament is easily accessible by plane, train, bus and car.
The nearest international airport is Frankfurt/Main (FRA) or Stuttgart Airport (STR). From there, trains or airport transport to Mannheim / Heidelberg. Once you have made that transfer, S-Bahn and regional trains run regularly to Wiesloch / Walldorf. From there, we offer you shuttles to the Racket Center from Thursday evening.
If you live in Germany or any neighbouring country, it is also possible to drive to the venue. Coming from the B3, take the Nussloch / Walldorf exit in the direction of Walldorf. After approximately 500m, you will see the RC on the right-hand side in the idyllic nature reserve.
Coming from the A5 through the centre of Walldorf, follow the signs to Nussloch. After about 1km on the left, you will see the blue buildings of the Racket Center.
