The ever-popular IWT Swiss Open is back for a 15th time, with the FIR World Tour returning to the prestigious Vitis SportCentre on the outskirts of Zurich.
The venue has hosted numerous World Championships in the past, with the organising team also expertly putting on last year’s hugely successful World Singles Championship.
The IWT Swiss Open was the first tournament following the returning after the covid-enforced break to have over 100 players taking part. We expect well over 100 once again in this spectacular tournament that is easily accessible to a lot of major racketlon hubs across Europe and the world.
This year, the tournament takes place from June 24-26.
IWT Swiss Open Player Entry
Player entry is already open for the IWT Swiss Open. It opened earlier this year and already has nearly 30 entries from 28 different countries – including the European debut of New Zealand’s national champion Sion Wiggin.
The player entry deadline is June 13. However, we would encourage all interested players to enter as early as possible. A reminder that you can withdraw from the tournament at no cost right up until June 13.
A 10EUR Late-Entry Fee may be added at a later date which would see a 10 euro fee added to any entries coming in within 28 days of the entry deadline. This will be confirmed at a later date.

An FIR License is required to play on the FIR Racketlon World Tour. Get your FIR License here.
All Swiss Open participants living in Switzerland (except for First Timers and U13 playerS) will need a valid Swiss Racketlon license as well.

Venue Information
The IWT Swiss Open is taking place once again at VITIS Sport Centre, in Schlieren, Zurich, Switzerland. The venue has an extremely rich racketlon history, having hosted the Swiss Open for a number of years.
It was also the host venue for the 2018 World Championships, a tournament that saw almost 450 players. In 2021, the venue became the first since the start of the COVID pandemic to have over 100 players enter the tournament. In fact, this tournament sees more than 100 competitors every year, making it both one of the most competitive and one of the most social IWTs every single year.
The entire tournament is indoor, including a large number of carpet tennis courts. The badminton courts are some of the most beautiful on the FIR World Tour while there is also an all-glass squash court.
The table tennis balls will be DHS *** Cell-Free, badminton shuttlecocks are Yonex AS-30 feather shuttles. Squash and tennis will both use Head balls.
During the tournament, the sports shop on-site will also offer the participants a stringing service. You can either bring your own strings and get it strung for 25 swiss francs, or get it strung with strings from the local shop and claim a 25% discount.
There is a restaurant open on-site throughout all hours of the tournament, with various menu and snack options. These include, but are not limited to, pasta, toast, fries and much more. There is a selection of both hot and cold food.
