After a long pause, the official racketlon rankings are finally set to permanently restart at the beginning of September. Results from IWT London Open and IWT Swiss Open will be the first new tournaments on the rankings.
They have only been updated twice since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. First, after the GRAWE sidebyside 14. Austrian Open last year. Second, at the start of 2021 to accommodate the players who had qualified for the Seniors circuit.
October’s rankings will also see the results of September’s Romanian Open Challenger and GRAWE sidebyside 15. Austrian Open. Both tournaments are still open for entry if you want to collect more ranking points.
Changes to the Racketlon Rankings
The reintroduction of the rankings does come with one significant change. Previously, the rankings would include all results from the past 24 months. Now, the rankings will include all results from the past 42 months.
This is the usual 24 months including an extra 18 months to accommodate the shutdown of the FIR World Tour due to COVID. The rankings will continue to include 42 months worth of results for the foreseeable future.
