It was day 2 of the Indian Open Racketlon 2025 and day 1 of the World Tour Finals, where we’ve seen some fantastic racketlon matches.
The men’s A final will be a battle between Leigh Sands and Jonathan Cassier, after they got through in two contrasting matches. Leigh took on no 2 seed Pat Moran from the United States, and got through a big battle taking it +3 (10-21 21-15 21-15 21-19). After the match Leigh said he won more points than he thought in table tennis, and he got back after being 19-17 down, reading an underarm serve, and finally putting the ball away to take the match 21-19 after a classic Racketlon match.
His opponent is Jonathan Cassier, who beat top seed Koubaa +13 in the semi-finals and Guidi Weijel +30 (21-4 21-14 21-15) in the semi finals.
The women’s elite final will be an all Indian affair between top seed Charvi Singh and Riya Arolkar, who beat no 2 seed Jhawar by + 26(17-21 21-0 21-12).
