The FIR World Tour Committee is very excited to make the first announcement of the FIR World Tour 2026. We will add further tournaments, especially in the 2nd half of 2026, later.

FIR World Championships: Singles & Teams
The 2025 edition of this tournament saw almost 500 players and over 80 teams play close to
1500 matches over 5 days across 7 different courts – and this was the absolute maximum
that was possible.
We believe that the most important event of the year always deserves the best possible quality. Our extensive research found that there are simply no other venues outside of Victoria in Rotterdam that are able to stage a tournament of this size, with this many players and teams, whilst being able to provide enough world championship standard courts and all-round facilities.
With no applications to stage this event from other member nations in 2026, and after consultation and approval from the FIR Council, we concluded that we shall continue the world championships in its current format in Rotterdam for one final year in 2026. Based on our experience and the player reviews of the previous 3 editions in Rotterdam, which have seen the highest ratings for a world championships since official player surveys began in 2018, we have every confidence that 2026 will once again be another top quality event.

Restructure
Inevitably, we will restructure the format of the world championships from 2027 onwards, thereby opening it up many more potential venues. We have already started working towards this goal and have every confidence that 2027 will see new, highly attractive options, forming a key part to the development of our sport.
World Doubles
Rounding off the top-category tournaments, we have the world doubles championships returning to the fantastic Holbaek venue in Denmark, and the u12, u14 and u16 kids doubles world championships coming to Prague.

Super World Tours
Further, we are delighted that we already have 4 showpiece Super World Tour tournaments
in 2026 – offering the most world ranking points and prize money:
- SWT Hong Kong Open
- SWT Danish Open
- SWT Turkish Open
- SWT Austrian Open (to be confirmed)
The rest of the 2026 World Tour is a mix of old favourites and some exciting brand-new venues in Hong Kong, Gliwice (Poland) and Helsinki. Full details can be found on fir.tournamentsoftware.com, as always. No doubt we will adding more tournaments, in more new venues, new cities and new countries throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you there!
