Ahlmer & Jacobsen dominate Women’s Doubles | Berlin Open IWT

Anna-Klara Ahlmer & Stine Jacobsen are the first players to win an elite category this weekend, winning a 5-player box without needing tennis. The action continues this morning with an all German final in the Men’s Doubles. Followed by the Mixed Doubles final, where Stine has the opportunity to win another title.

Women’s Doubles

It was a dominant performance from start to finish for the Swedish/Danish pair, as they won every set of every sport they played. Myriam Enmer & Holly Ranson won the silver medal after defeating top seeds Pauline Cavé & Kirsten I. Kaptein, who had to settle for bronze.

It is a 22nd Women’s Doubles title for Anna-Klara and 13th for Stine.

All German Men’s Doubles final

After surviving a Gummiarm in round 1, Bastian Böhm & Max Oldehaver were pushed deep into tennis by Czech pair Michal Horácek & Jan Port. The Germans ultimately won by 6.

It was smoother sailing for Joerg Kanonenberg & Cornelius Radermacher. The top seeds won all four sports against Swiss duo Léon & Noah Mamié.

At the time of writing, the final is in progress. Bastian & Max won the table tennis 21-15, recovering from 7-11 down at halfway. View the results here

Mixed Doubles

Mixed Doubles top seeds, Holly Ranson & Bastian Böhm, have had to fight back in both their matches after dropping table tennis. The pair have played well in badminton and squash to defeat Kirsten I. Kaptein & Thorsten Lentfer in round 1, then against Anna-Klara Ahlmer & Christian Wiessner in the semi finals.

Meanwhile, second seeds, Stine Jacobsen & Cornelius Radermacher, have been front-runners. They’ve won every set so far, except for a 22-20 squash set in their opening match against Katherine Serrano & Henrik Mustonen. The Danish/German combination didn’t need their tennis racquets in the semi final either, against Pauline Cavé & Julien Castel.

The final is scheduled for 11:30 AM German time. View the results here
