Invitation to ERU Youth Champions League in Memoriam MÜHÖ

Totally unexpectedly the former RFA Council Member Dieter Mühl, named MÜHÖ, passed away in June this year. To honor his contribution to Racketlon, the RFA – Racketlon Federation Austrian together with the ERU – European Racketlon Union has created a new competition: the ERU Youth Champions League in Memoriam MÜHÖ. In this new league, junior club teams with 6 players aged between 10 und 16 years will take part. Apart from host Austria, Czech Republic and France plus one other country shall compete.

„We want to honor Dieter „Didi“ „Mühö“ Mühl, who passed away in June 2024 at the age of 48. „Mühö“, as he was affectionately called by most, was always in a good mood, a talented player, always ready to help, team manager, training organizer and former RFA Council member had his huge heart in the right place.“ Marcel Weigl / Austrian Open Technical Director

RFA and ERU have promised a direct subsidy of over 5000€ for the juniors to cover hotel costs and guarantee top prizes for all. Furthermore the juniors will be treated like top players with shuttle service, all matches on centre courts with livestreaming, livescoring and official referees. This is step two after the introduction of the ERU Youth Concept.
