International Racketlon returns to the United States

We’re very excited that international Racketlon is back in North America, with many American and Canadian players competing at the SAT Massachusetts Racket Masters 2024.

Held in Northampton, Ainsworth Gym – Smith College, we can expect some brilliant matches this weekend. Team USA captain Patrick Moran is the no 1 seed in the men’s event, he will play Jonathan Gill in his first match back on tour after undergoing knee surgery. Fellow team USA member Alex Porush is the second seed for this event, he will play Anthony Bedard.

There are two Canadian players in the men’s elite, with Jeremy Easterbrook taking on Chinmai Basavaraj and Patrick Laplante taking on Andrew Leung. Laplante and Easterbrook competed in Canada’s last IWT event back in 2016 and have participated the previous CHA Massachusetts Racket Masters before covid, so it’s great to see them back on tour.

Team USA players Joanne Schickerling and Stephanie Chung will go head-to-head in the women’s A in what will be a very exciting match.

Patrick Moran and Shree Dhond are the top seeds in the men’s doubles, taking on UK’s Jonathan and Simon Gill. Andrew Leung and Alex Porush are the no 2 seeds and will take on Anthony and Rod Bedard from Canada. Chung/Schickerling are taking on Easterbrook/Laplante whilst Richard Soucy and Andy Stenson will take on Jp Champa and Grant Sternam.

The tournament will start on Saturday and we will try to livestream some of the matches!
