Anna-Klara Ahlmer saw herself on top of the podium once again, for the second time this season and the second time this month! The Swede beat Frenchwoman Marie Jaussein in a very exciting final this Saturday at the Lausanne Open.
Ahlmer said that it was great to see so many women playing on all levels. In the elite category, top seeds Ahlmer and Kaptein won their opening matches quite comfortably. Marie Jaussein had a great battle with world no 28 Adeline Kilchenmann, which she won + 6 (15-21 21-11 7-21 21-5) whilst on the top side of the draw Marine Pelet came through a tough battle with Lou Adler, winning + 5 (18-21 21-2 21-17 2-17) to set up a meeting with Ahlmer in the semi-finals. Ahlmer continued to show her good form, beating Marine Pelet +26 (21-4 20-22 21-10).
