Helsinki is a beautiful (and cold) city, therefore it’s no surprise that included in the top five things to do are skiing, skating, snowshoe hiking and sledding. That leaves evening walks at five for a less injury prone activity. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafe’s, including nice vegetarian and vegan options.
- The Market Square is very nice and authentic with a lot of boots that sell traditional Finnish food and nice handcrafted souvenirs. This is a short 15 minute walk from the tournament hotel
- Allas Sea Pool is a nice marine spa, with two warm water pools and one sea water pool. There is also a sky bar.
- For the real diehards that want to try something new, there are places to try winter swimming which might be good for recovery after all the hard work during the tournament!
