Padel Fun and a Final World Champs Warm-Up | IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open

Time is running out if you want to enter the incredibly unique IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open. With a special padel tournament planned for Thursday night and the final chance players will get to warm-up ahead of the World Singles Championship, this is a tournament not to be missed.

The IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open will take place on October 1-3 in the special Victoria Club in the Netherlands. The venue was due to host the 2020 World Championships and will certainly host a World Championships again in the future.

The tournament is also the first on the FIR World Tour to host a fun Padel tournament on the Thursday evening at the venue before the tournament begins. The IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open already has over 50 players registered to play from 12 countries around the world.

The entry for players to enter this tournament is Wednesday September 22 so we would encourage all players to enter as soon as possible to guarantee their place in the competition.

The IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open will also be the final tournament before this year’s World Singles Championships. This offers players the perfect chance to get some very important competitive practice.

The tournament will follow all FIR and local COVID-19 health guidelines which will be sent to players in advance of the tournament.

Venue Information

Victoria is a fantastic sports club in the heart of Rotterdam. It boasts a glass squash show court that hosts regular international competitions/ There are also 8x ATP approved indoor tennis hard courts and a separate hall for TT and badminton. The club also has a large restaurant and bar with an outdoor terrace and 3x padel courts (see details below about the Thursday evening padel tournament).

We have a limited number of spaces at the tournament – please enter early to avoid disappointment. It is always possible to withdraw without any cancellation fee up to Wednesday, September 22.

Travel

Rotterdam Airport is 10km from the sports centre. Amsterdam Schipol Airport is 65km away – with regular, direct trains from Schipol to Rotterdam Central (30-minute journey).

IWT Dunlop Rotterdam Open Extras

On Thursday, September 30 from 20:00 until 23:00 we will organise a social padel tournament for all players at the Victoria Club Padel Complex. With so many racketlon players now enjoying playing padel, we’re sure this will be a good opportunity for players to show off their skills in a fun but surely quite competitive mini-tournament. The cost will be EUR15 per player.

On the evening of Friday, October 1, we will organise a BBQ on the terrace of the club. Details and information about how to book yourself a place will be sent to all registered players nearer to the tournament.
