“We are very excited to announce that the Racketlon World Championships 2027: Teams & Singles will take place in Helsinki from 28th July – 1st August 2027. In January this year I travelled to Helsinki to meet with the Finnish Racketlon Federation where we met with representatives from the Talihalli Squash & Badminton Centre and the Tennis Center Tali (with both centres less than 100 metres from each other)...and we immediately saw the huge potential for an amazing world championships.
Both centres offer fantastic on court facilities: Talihalli has 12 badminton courts across two badminton halls, 8 squash courts including an all-glass showcourt which has hosted many PSA tournaments including a recent European Team Squash Championships…the Tennis Centre Tali is one the biggest indoor tennis facilities in the whole of Europe and hosts an annual ATP Challenger Tour tournament.

Alongside the amazing on court facilities a world championships in Helsinki offers a huge amount. The international airport is only 20 mins away with direct flights from all over the world, there are various excellent accommodation options close-by and Helsinki in the summer months is a beautiful city to visit.

The FIR look forward to working closely with the team in Finland to deliver another fantastic showpiece tournament for our sport in 2027!
But players can get a first chance to play on the 2027 World Championships courts at the IWT Midnight Sun Finnish Open from 26th to 28th June this year – get your entries in quickly!”
Duncan Stahl – FIR President
“It is a great honour and pleasure to host the Racketlon World Championships in Finland for the very first time in 2027. As the sport originated in Finland already 40 years ago, bringing the World Championships back to its roots makes this occasion especially meaningful for the entire Finnish racketlon community.
The Finnish Racketlon Federation is proud and excited to welcome players, officials and supporters from around the world to Finland for this unique celebration of our sport.
Welcome to Helsinki and welcome to Finland!”
Seppo Raiski President Finnish Racketlon Federation
