In three weeks time, the SWT Austrian Open will be taking place in Vienna. The tournament has returned to the capital this year in order to provide the players with unique sightseeing opportunities and ease of travel, making it an ideal tournament for all.
Despite entry still being open for another week, the tournament has already attracted lots of top Austrian players, alongside leading international players such as Nicolas Lenggenhager and Pauline Cave, as well as both the current U21 World Champions, Bastian Böhm and Holly Ranson.
There are many reasons to play in this years SWT Austrian Open, not only are there world ranking points and 1500 euros up for grabs, alongside live streaming of all elite matches, but there are also two chances for the players to socialise, with a players’ dinner and party being held on two separate nights, and an interactive workshop on prevention of sports related injuries by the tournament doctor Dr. Gartner. The first players’ dinner will be an optional one, priced at EUR 10, in a typical Austrian inn with a charming garden, straight after the doubles events. The second one will be a players’ party held on Saturday evening, where all players will be entitled to a free shot in the Loco Bar.
This looks set to be a fantastic weekend of sport, with lots of opportunities to socialise and experience the local culture.
See you soon in Vienna 🙂 – Sandra Ettenauer
