It is possible to stay outside the hotel, however these players shall only be allowed in on tournament days and will not be allowed to use any facilities other than the ones booked for the competition. We please ask people to respect this, otherwise we risk losing the tournament entirely. As the tournament director however lived and worked within the hotel for several years however, he would thoroughly recommend staying in the hotel if possible as it is a truly amazing venue.
Players Dinner
The 3-course players dinner shall once again take place at the wonderful El Lago restaurant. The restaurant can seat 110 of us, so please note that on entering via tournament software it will ask for how many (if you plan to have the dinner) places, including guests, you would like – this shall be on a first come basis, should it happen that we have more participants than previous years.
As a slightly different dinner to most players dinners, we have a full restaurant booked out, at a more expensive cost than the often-usual buffet style dinners. The overall cost of the dinner is €35 – as per FIR €10 of this is covered in the standard entry fee. Then the tournament itself will put forwards another €10, meaning an extra charge of €15 will be required for those having the players dinner. For those who do not wish to come to the player’s dinner, an equivalent value will be refunded to them to eat elsewhere. Any non-playing guests will have to pay the full €35.
