Get ready for an action packed SWT Austrian Graz Open this weekend!

We’re getting ready for the second SWT tournament of the season with the 17 SWT Austrian Open Graz starting this Friday.

The doubles will start on Friday with German youngsters Reissenauer/ Böhm aiming for their first SWT Mixed Doubles title together. There is a lot of Austrian interest in the Men’s Doubles. Pichler is teaming up with Volf coming in as top seeds, with a potential final against Prager/Urban. Cavé/Steiner look like the strong favourites to capture the women’s title.

The individual draw will kick off on Saturday, with Sylvain Ternon and Pauline Cavé looking for SWT victories. It’s great to see that the top players receive free hospitality and free shuttle service during the tournament.

All eight macht courts have referees are Centre Courts with Livstreaming of all matches on City Graz CC1 and Livescoring on TV Screens on Simoner & Scheder CC2. Playing conditions will be extraordinary, as the official table tennis floor of the European Championships came directly from Linz last week. We also have the ERU Youth Champions League Final between SPORTUNION Rackathletes Austria and CZECH Junior Racket Team live on Saturday at 5PM on City Graz CC.

Alongisde the SWT tournament, Racketlon Unified, the new Racketlon project in Austria will feature a doubles competition featuring players with mixed abilities. Project manager Sebastian Eggert from the organizing club „SPORTUNION Rackathletes Austria“ is very excited. *Squash will be replaced by Pickleball.

17. SWT Austrian Open Graz in Memoriam MÜHÖ on national TV

Totally unexpectedly the former RFA Council Member Dieter Mühl, named MÜHÖ, passed away in June this year. To honor his contribution to Racketlon, the RFA – Racketlon Federation Austrian together with the ERU – European Racketlon Union will honor him: The 17. SWT Austrian Open Graz will be in Memoriam MÜHÖ!

The SWT in addition with Racketlon Unified has sparked interest of the national TV and matches will be live on national TV ORF.
