New member country, Racketlon Ireland joins FIR

Ireland’s recent inclusion as one of the newest member countries in the FIR has ignited a wave of excitement within the Racketlon community. Building upon a foundation laid by the West of Ireland Open in 2014, held at the esteemed Galway Lawn Tennis Club, this thrilling development marks a significant milestone. Back then, the tournament showcased 32 Irish, 4 Scots, and 2 English players, with triumphs claimed by Matt Haynes from England and the local talent Emma Murphy from Ireland.

With nearly a decade having elapsed, the stage is set for a new chapter in Irish Racketlon history. The dedication of the Irish Racketlon Federation to expand the sport’s reach across the nation is undeniable. Enthusiasts and athletes alike are encouraged to keep a watchful eye on the tournament calendar, awaiting upcoming competitions on Irish soil. Take the opportunity to support Racketlon in Ireland and make sure to enter future tournaments.
