New on the calendar… the Racket Masters Augsburg Challenger | Jul 7-9

There has been another Challenger event added to the calendar this season. We’re excited to welcome the Racket Masters Augsburg to the IWT tour. It’s great to see more Challenger events coming up, growing the sport and bringing Racketlon to more people.

The event is spearheaded by Natalie Paul, a former top 10 racketlon player and former World Doubles Champion. She unfortunately had to leave Racketlon after an injury in 2020, but there are lots of players who are interested in Racketlon in her hometown Augsburg. Racketlon Club Augsburg was founded in 2019 and is growing steadily which is great for the sport. The center has ten badminton courts, five squash courts and four indoor tennis courts. There are also clay tennis courts outside, a minigolf course and a fantastic Italian restaurant. The center is located near a tram station, which is very easy to get to from the city center. Racketlon club Augsburg has hosted a lot of national tournaments, but it has always been their ambition to hold an international tournament. Due to Covid, this was postponed for a while, but now they are ready to welcome the international Racketlon family to Augsburg.

The tournament will be from the 7th till the 9th of July. Augsburg is a beautiful city located in Bavaria in the south of Germany. The nearest airport is Munich which is an hour’s drive from Augsburg. There are two hotel options available with a discount code which can be found on the tournament website .
