We’re very excited for the first ever women’s only IWT tournament in Lausanne this year. The tournament will start on Saturday with the singles and first timers categories, and the doubles and seniors will be on Sunday. There will also be a player dinner on Saturday in the old center of Lausanne with regional dishes for only 15 euros!
Players are invited to a great city trip of Lausanne on Friday afternoon, which gives a unique experience to this tournament. Lausanne is located on the shores of Lake Geneva It is known for its beautiful scenery, historic architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. Some of the top attractions in Lausanne include the medieval Old Town, the Olympic Museum, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, and the Lausanne Palace hotel. Lausanne is easily accessible by train from other major cities in Switzerland, such as Geneva and Zurich.
The tournament will be held at Green Club, which is a very nice club located a bit outside Lausanne. So far, there are six elite women’s entries, alongside world no 2 Anna-Klara Ahlmer, French Open runner up Marie Jaussein, Kirsten Kaptein and Switzerland’s Dara Ladner.
