Entry Open for CHA Thailand Open 2020

The first tournament of the 2020 season sees the CHA Thailand Open return for the third time.

Asia’s first and premier international racketlon tournament heads back to Ambassador City Jomtien in Pattaya, Thailand. The tournament takes place from the 3rd to 5th of January 2020.

In 2020, the CHA Thailand Open is also followed a week later by the CHA Indian Open. This marks the first time in racketlon history that two FIR tournaments have been held in Asia in a year, a sign of our growth on the continent.

The CHA Thailand Open is taking place on the same weekend as the IWT Vienna Classics.

“Here you have the challenge to face players that you have never played before”

Speaking about the return of the tournament, Tournament Director Frank Kleiber said, “Returning for the third time to the beautiful venue in Pattaya City, we are the longest-standing tournament in the South East Asia area. Through word of mouth, there are continuously more participants from all over the world.

“In our tournament, there are players from Asian regions such as Hong Kong, India, Australia etc. So if someone in Europe is tired of playing against the same players, here you have the challenge to face players that you have never played before.

“The tournament offers a full service to bring you, for an affordable price, from Bangkok airport to the hotel. The price for accommodation is reasonable, with it costing less than 50 euros for a double room, including breakfast, in the 10th biggest hotel on the planet.

“The Venue is part of the hotel. The beach and five swimming pools are all yours, even in break times between matches. There is a six-course menu at the players’ dinner including free beer.

“A tour to the famous walking street of Pattaya is a must to get a taste of the most popular party mile in the world. It is possible to book and receive a one hour massage for less than eight euros. That is what makes this tournament very unique and one of the most attractive on the World Tour.”
