The entry deadline for the upcoming SWT 13. Austrian Open presented by GRAWE sidebyside is set to close on Monday, 19th August.

The prestigious tournament is taking place at Franz-Furst Freizeitzentrum in Wr. Neudorf from Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September.

As one of only two Super World Tour events in 2019, this is sure to be one of the biggest racketlon tournaments of the year.

All the important information about the tournament venue, entry categories, travel and accommodation is available here.

Registration for the tournament is available here.

Here are five different reasons why you should sign up to compete in the 2019 SWT Austrian Open.

1. All Participants Will Receive a Personalised Medal

Thanks to a special partnership with the Vienna City Marathon, all participants in the SWT 13. Austrian Open presented by GRAWE sidebyside will receive a participation medal with their name engraved onto it. This is certainly a unique experience for the FIR World Tour with every player ensured to receive one.

This is alongside any extra medals players could pick up for reaching the podium in their category. Make sure you save some room in your suitcase!

2. Free Shuttle Service for Tournament Hotel Guests

Booking yourself into the tournament hotel? As part of your booking, you will receive free shuttle service to and from the airport. Not only that, but there is also a free shuttle between the tournament hotel and the tournament venue. If you fancy walking instead, the tournament hotel is just ten minutes away from the sports venue.

Single rooms start at 60 euros a night while doubles rooms are 90 euros a night or 45 euros per person. However, if you do want to stay in the tournament hotel then bookings need to be completed by Tuesday 13th August.

3. The Men’s and Women’s World No.1s are Both Playing

Both Morten Jaksland and Christine Seehofer, the Men’s and Women’s World No.1s are in action in Austria. As well as that, former World No.1 Lukas Windischberger is taking part in the doubles. This is special for players and spectators alike.

This allows everyone – from fellow players to spectators – to watch some of the best racketlon players up-close. What better way to improve racketlon than to learn by watching the best players in the world!

4. Fun Bonuses included in the Entry Fee

Racketlon Federation Austria is providing each participant with several additional perks for entering the tournament. Alongside allowing you to compete in the tournament, your entry fee will also get you a high-quality Donic t-shirt and a program booklet.

As well as that, it also gets you a Players Dinner on the Saturday night and entry to the Players Party at the new venue, Salzbar, in the centre of Vienna if you want to dance the night away.

5. The Beautiful City of Vienna

Last but definitely not least, the chance to visit the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Boasting stunning architecture in the form of St. Stephen’s Cathedral or Schonbrunn Palace, and a wonderful array of food, music and culture, Vienna is one of Europe’s most fantastic cities. Especially in the summertime, the gardens and parks around the city will be in full bloom.

If you get the time before or after the tournament, it’s worth heading into the city to explore and get a taste of the Austrian capital. The tournament venue and hotel are around 30-40 minutes away from the city centre by public transport.

So, what are you waiting for? Sign up for the SWT 13. Austrian Open presented by GRAWE sidebyside today.
