The Racketlon World Tour returns to the beautiful island of Lanzarote for the IWT Club La Santa Open from the 2nd to 4th of March.
Boasting a combination of glorious weather and incredible facilities the tournament returns to the Tour for the third straight year.
Entry to the tournament is currently open but will close on the 18th February at 11:59am CET.
What is Club La Santa?
Club La Santa is a hotel resort located on the island of Lanzarote established specifically to cater to people who love sports. The resort hosts every activity imaginable and is a perfect racketlon venue. The two badminton halls, six squash courts and ten outdoor tennis courts are all within 50m of each other.
Racketlon first found its way to the island in 2017 when Racketlon Denmark organised the first Club La Santa Open. The tournament was an immediate success with players raving about the facilities on offer both in and beyond the tournament.
Entry to this tournament not only guarantees you access to the racket sports venues but an additional 80 activities which are included in the price when staying at the hotel. Padel and beach tennis have both been popular choices for racketlon players in the past but there is the option to do anything from windsurfing and kayaking to golf and handball.
Along with three Olympic size swimming pools and a wellness centre, the resort also includes a variety of restaurants, bars and shops to cater to the needs of all players throughout the tournament.
There is also a players dinner and party taking place on Monday the 4th of March after the final day’s play. This gives all players and families a chance to relax after three days of sporting action.
Who has already entered the Club La Santa Open?
While defending champion Anastasiya Bruzgina is not returning, the Club La Santa Open Women’s A boasts a high-quality field. Four of the top-10 are competing; Nicole Eisler Kirsten Kaptein, Zuzana Severinova and Anna-Klara Ahlmer. They are also joined by Izzy Bramhall, Margaux Randjbar and Natalia Prado.
Both previous Men’s champions are heading back to Lanzarote. 2018 champion Kresten Hougaard and 2017 champion Morten Jaksland are joined by French pair Arnaud Genin and Josselin Gade.
