It’s a good start for the season for Mohammed Tarik Koubaa, who has won his third medal this weekend and his first elite gold singles medal. He defeated Kevin Ng in the final. Koubaa got a lead winning table tennis 21-9, but Ng quickly turned it around with a 21-4 score in badminton. Squash was incredibly close, 23-21 for Koubaa, as he won tennis with the same score as table tennis 21-9, taking the match +9 (21-9 4-21 23-21 21-9).
Last year’s runner up Mandrin Mouchet beat Tsz Chung Chan to claim the bronze medal, taking the match +26 (21-12 21-7 21-18).
CHA Thailand Open titles for Patel and Rakshit
Adit Patel has crowned himself Men’s B Thailand Open Champion as he defeated Varun Motasha +19 (21-12 21-15 15-21 13-3) in the final. Samuel K S Li won the bronze medal. The +50 category was won by Gourav Rakshi, who beat Samuel K S Li in the final. The overall score was +18 (21-5 15-21 21-13 4-4). Gunnar Borg beat Ray Ryan to claim the bronze medal, taking the match +20 (21-11 21-18 21-15 3-2).
A great start to the 2024 season after another succesful tournament in Thailand. Koubaa won another prize as he won the gummi-arm tournament, where he chose to serve in the final against Mandrin Mouchet!
