Racketlon Returns in India with Friendly Matches

We’re delighted to see that racketlon is slowly beginning to return in India with a range of friendly matches taking place.

As some areas of the country slowly come out of lockdown, the Racketlon India Sports Association is encouraging players to take part in friendly matches.

The city of Ahmedabad in Western India has already seen a couple of friendly matches. Former +45 world champion Ashutosh Avinash Pednekar is just one of the players taking part. Similarly, there has been a practice match in Mumbai between two of India’s top 30 players.

Players taking part in friendly matches are being encouraged to send their results, along with some pictures and videos to RISA. These are then being promoted across their social media channels.

You can see more about these friendlies and results by checking out the RISA Facebook and YouTube channels, as well as checking out their website.

It is encouraging to see racketlon returning in different parts of the world. The FIR is extremely hopeful that the World Tour will return to India late in 2021. This could be for either one or two tournaments. This comes after the huge success of the first CHA Indian Open at the start of 2020.
