Finnish Open in Helsinki for 6th time

The Finnish Racketlon Federation wishes to welcome every Racketlon player to the Finnish Racketlon Open from 5th to 7th October 2012 - a FIR World Tour event. This is the sixth time the Finnish Open will be played in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The venue, Freedom Fund arena, is situated some 20 km from the center of Helsinki. The Freedom Fund arena racket centerwhich was opened in august 2009 will now be the venue for the 4th time. Defending champions Mikko Kärkkäinen and Michaela Björnström will probably not be starting as the couple is taking a baby pause together. Local matador Ismo Rönkkö will make his first appearance this year and the Swedes Martin Björkryd and Christian Wall seem the biggest challengers for the title.
