Italy and Austria organize Challenge for Racketlon Kids
At the World Champs in Löhne the Italian national team booked a hotel one hour away by mistake in Lohne because they did not know an ö. The national team was therefore late for there first match. Concerning Racketlon for Kids they are early and a step a head of other nations by organising the Italian Circuit “Racketlon Kids†the second year. At the same time the “Racketlon Kids Challenge†at primary schools in Austria will after four years stage the final next Friday 4th December.
50 Kids signed in for Italian Racketlon Kids
The Italian Circuit “Racketlon Kids†started in Grumello/Vicenza on the 25th November organised by FIRA – Federazione Italiana Racketlon. Italian national team captain Diego Bertoldo was playing all day with over 50 Racketlon playing kids in the age of u13 to u16 boys and girls. There will be 6 regional qualification rounds in Milan and Vicenza, until April 2010. After that the best 8 youngsters for each region will take part in the final masters held during the Italian Championships 2010. Christian Perin (Vicenza Racketlon) is the winner in U13. In final he beat Stefano Dall'Osto. Third Andrea Bertoldo and fouth Nicola Fabrello. Gianni Toniolo win the first tournament U16 beating in the final Alessandro Dal Prà (+5). Third Miguel Matteazzi vs Michele Guido.

Challenger 2010 in Milano
Furthermore the Italian Racketlon Federation has started an Italian Racketlon circuit with six tournaments from December 2009 until April 2010 in six different places all over Italy: 13/12/09 GALLARATE (VA) - R4, 27/12/09 MARANO VIC. (VI) - R3, 03/01/10 ALPE D'HUEZ - R4,
06/01/10 PIOVENE R. (VI) - R3, 17/01/10 PADOVA - R4, 04/04/10 OLBIA - R4. The best sports centres are in the north, but one tournament is even on Sardinia in the very South. “At the end of April or beginning of May we then want to organise the first international Racketlon Tournament on Italian groundsâ€, says president Riccardo Calassare who is just trying to fix the final date for the Italian Open Challenger in Milano.
Racketlon Kids Challenge final in Vienna
In Austria a project by the RFA – Racketlon Federation Austria financed by the Ministery of Sports and the Sportsunion ends with the big final of the Racketlon Kids Challenge on Friday the 4th December in Tennispoint Vienna Sportscentre. In the four years of duration 30 primary schools in 5 counties all over Austria have participated. The RFA team came to the schools let the kids between 6 and 10 years try Racketlon and then offered them free practice hours at the local Racketlon clubs. Pictures see www.racketlon.sportunion.at
