Racketlon Highlight in Germany just ahaed
What a perfect timing! Beginning of November from 6. – 8. we will have the final round of our first German Bundesliga year finally finding the first german team champion which will be sent to Austria next year representing Germany within the Champions League as well as the teams for a potential relegation as we are still confident opening the second league already next year. On the same weekend the first ever German Champion in Singles shall be determined.
Linden top favorites for victory
The so far unbeaten teams from Frankfurt (including the Sach family and Seifert) and the homecourt team Linden Alternate Racketeers (Schaub X2, Kudicke, Zwiers, Branke, Stamm, Koepf, Wieth) are surely named to be the favourites of the first title however we saw many close games within the first weekend and some international stars will join the teams – ergo everybody should watch out and better be prepared for potential upsets or surprises. We do expect many spectators as the sport university in Giessen and all individual racket clubs nearby are informed and entrance is for free the whole weekend. Highlight is that we found a sponsor for the water throughout the whole weekend and traditionally the players party on Saturday night needs to fulfill the “German standards”
First German Championships
In parallel Germany is searching for the first ever German single Champion at the same weekend within the ALTERNATE SPORTPARK in Linden – a fantastic venue to play both – the League as well as the Singles in 6 classes (2 juniors U16 classes included) within one weekend. Definitively a Racketlon Venue which will apply for Challangers or World Tour Tournaments in the near future as well! We do expect ca 100-120 competitors for the Singles in all classes including players like Schaub, Kudicke, Koepf, Bosselmann, Sach, Berkemeier as well as Altmann, Seifert, Scharnagel and Schaub all having already played superb results at international tournaments this year and ranked among the top 30 in the world!
